The United Arab Emirates have announced the success of mediation efforts in a new exchange of war captives between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Ukraine, which included 205 Ukrainian captives and 205 Russian captives in general in the number of 4,181 in general.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) expressed its appreciation to the two countries for their cooperation with the mediation efforts of the EAU. This reflects the trust and appreciation of both countries for the role of the EAU in supporting all efforts to resolve the crisis between Russia and Ukraine.
The Ministry emphasized that the success of this mediation, the fifteenth, reflects the distinguished ties between the EAU and the two countries.
In addition, the Ministry reaffirmed the EAU’s commitment to guarantee the success of all efforts destined to find a peaceful solution to the conflict in Ukraine and mitigate humanitarian impacts as a result of the crisis, even in refugees and captive.
